Hamish Janett

Hamish is the Founder and Managing Director of Strato Solutions. With a passion for growing sustainable, commercial businesses from cutting-edge technology, Hamish is an experienced leader focused on helping innovative businesses deliver projects and bring new products and services to market. 

Hamish has experience across a wide range of functions, primarily in the aviation/aerospace and clean energy technology sectors. Hamish held multiple senior roles at Silicon Valley electric and autonomous aircraft company Wisk - a startup and later subsidiary of The Boeing Company - including Flight Test Engineering, Product Management and as Manager of Market Engagement for the Asia Pacific region, where he led the market entry and establishment of Wisk’s Australian business. 

Prior to founding Strato Solutions, Hamish served as Chief Operating Officer of Pyper Vision, a company developing technology to mitigate disruption caused by extreme weather events, where he led teams across engineering, research science, product management, finance and commercial strategy functions. 

As part of his work with Strato Solutions, Hamish serves as an advisor to the Boards of a number of innovative companies taking new technology to market in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

Hamish has also held engineering and leadership roles in high performance electric vehicle development programmes and started his professional career as a renewable energy engineer at Meridian Energy. Hamish holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury.

In his spare time, Hamish is a keen explorer of the outdoors across Aotearoa and enjoys travelling the country and the world with family and friends.
